Boating At Joshiyara Jheel Uttarkashi

After waiting for a long long time finally with remarkable efforts of Honorable Chairman – Nagar Palika Uttarkashi Mr.Bhupendra Chauhan, Motor Boating has been started at Joshiyara Jheel Uttarkashi.

It was much awaited and very much necessary for the betterment of tourism in Uttarkashi. Though it should have started much earlier. Since, Char Dham Yatra has already begun boating in Joshiyara Jheel is becoming a center of attraction day by day and a lot of tourists are enjoying boating. Uttarkashi has a very good inflow of tourists from almost every part of the country and throughout the world. Visitors are much attracted towards the scenic beauty of hilly areas especially waterfalls, rivers, lakes etc. It has not only added a reason of fun and enjoyment to tourists but also a source of employment to many.

It is expected that there will be an increase in number of tourists inflow compared to last year. Due to poor climatic conditions last year, pilgrimages heading towards Gangotri suffered a lot because of landslides, road-blocks and uneven climate. Administration must be ready all the time to take necessary measures if such situations occur this year.
